Project 1: Research Time-line Analysis
Malaysia underwent its greatest architectural transformation after the the independance. But sadly, most of the buildings which were built post-merdeka were not documented properly. Hence in this project, we are to document buildings within the given site.
As for my group, we are to document buildings from the Chow Kit area and I have chosen to document the Putra World Trade Centre. Once ready, the group is to compile all buildings within their given site and to compile it within a timeline that shows the analysis of the buildings.
Project 2: Web Book
In accordance, to the first project, we are to have an in-depth analysis and study of a chosen building from the timeline. The study includes the layout of the building, architectural styles, construction of the building and the elements of the building.
As for my group, we did our study on the General Hospital of Kuala Lumpur because we were caught by its beauty. The building itself was similar to the Chandigarh High Court which was designed by the famous Le Corbusier for modern architecture.
